Holy shit. This is obstruction of justice. This HAS to be actionable, right?
Not only did Donald Trump ask then FBI director James Comey if he was being investigated, not only did he ask for his loyalty in a private dinner, but apparently he ASKED HIM TO DROP THE INVESTIGATION of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn!

The NY Times is reporting Comey wrote a memo in February detailing a meeting in the Oval Office the day after Flynn resigned in which Drumpf said to him:
“I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”
We’re no lawyers, but that’s close enough to a request to be wholly unethical.
And it’s bad enough that the White House is denying it! In a statement, they said:
“While the president has repeatedly expressed his view that General Flynn is a decent man who served and protected our country, the president has never asked Mr. Comey or anyone else to end any investigation, including any investigation involving General Flynn. The president has the utmost respect for our law enforcement agencies, and all investigations. This is not a truthful or accurate portrayal of the conversation between the president and Mr. Comey.”
Wow. Straight up calling him a liar. OK.

Multiple news sources have confirmed the memo’s existence with their law enforcement sources. CNN reports that Comey was so disgusted by the President’s request that he made sure to document it immediately and share it with senior FBI officials.
We mean, it’s one thing to disparage the investigation, to say it’s useless. It’s another to bring the man into your office, the highest ranking office in the world, and tell him you want him to drop it.
This CANNOT be allowed to go unanswered. Even the Republican Congress has to see that, right?
