Johnny Depp doesn’t do well when he’s put in the hot seat!

Stopping by Ellen DeGeneres‘ show to promote Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales for Thursday’s episode, the actor tried to play along with the comedienne’s series of spitfire questions… only to kind of disappoint.

Asked about his favorite part of his body, first celebrity crush, the best kisser of his costars, and more revealing questions we’re sure his fans are dying to know, Johnny gave answers only he would.

While we won’t spoil his answers for you, let Ellen’s response prepare you:

“I would ask you more, but you’re not going to answer me honestly.”

No hard feelings though, as the 53-year-old gifted DeGeneres with a beautiful painting of an elephant!

Of course, Johnny couldn’t stop by her show and not talk about his latest Disney film, especially about whether this will be the last fans will see of Captain Jack Sparrow:

“Are we doing this until I’m 150? I’ll be doing it at your local fast food restaurant, just outside.”

LOLz! Alright.

Interestingly enough, the A-lister revealed the latest installment is the only one of the franchise he’s seen in its entirety after seeing “part of the first one” years ago:

“I can’t stand watching myself. I ran out [of the first one] like a scared rat. But this one I did see because it’s the fifth one. I thought, ‘You know, I want to make sure that we’re delivering what we need to deliver to the people.’ Because the people, you went and saw the thing three, four, five times—who knows? You deserve to not be spoon-fed formula. I tried to up the stakes a little with some of the jokes.”

His favorite part of getting to star in these movies?? Showing up to surprise kids in character at children’s hospitals, apparently!

“It’s great fun because it’s sort of like a three and a half hour improvisation. You go into the hospital, say hi to the kiddies—it’s amazing. Wherever I go, I bring Captain Jack in a box. You meet all these amazing kids who are dealing with very, very adult illnesses. You see some incredible courage in their faces. It’s the parents who are just falling apart. I don’t break character; I just try to do as much stupid stuff as I can to make them laugh.”char

He added how his daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, was hospitalized for a few weeks when she was only seven, telling Ellen:

“I know what it feels like.”
