Tampa Bay’s Comic-Con is this weekend, and they were supposed to host Kate Beckinsale for an appearance and a Q&A — but that’s all been postponed due to an “overzealous fan.”
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Kate was planning on speaking at a Q&A panel at the Tampa Convention Center this morning, but she had to have her appearance pushed back to 6:00 p.m. tonight in order to properly file a police report about that overzealous fan.

No actual word on what the fan did… but the man was apparently escorted far away from the building and ordered not to return.
Beckinsale evidently felt safe enough to return to the same event this evening, though, so that’s good.
What is it with bad fans and sketchy situations lately?!
