After meeting Anthony Scaramucci last month, we couldn’t wait for all the shenanigans the My Cousin Vinny of White House communications directors would bring to the political media!
But when Donald Trump recasted fired the human pastrami just 10 days after naming his new title, late night hosts — and all of us, really — were forced to say goodbye to the Mooch long before they wanted to.
On The Daily Show, Trevor Noah likened Scaramucci’s short White House stint to the “song of the summer,” pointing out he “made everyone obsessed with him for, like, a week… then he left us with nothing but memories and, like, a bunch of weird moves.”
Of course, Seth Meyers went off on the staff shake up on Late Night, noting that Scaramucci’s firing wasn’t nearly as embarrassing as Reince Priebus‘.
But the best sendoff came from Stephen Colbert, who gave the Mooch a musical tribute with a new rendition of Queen‘s Bohemian Rhapsody that will truly send shivers down your spine.
