Ramona Singer‘s family has suffered a terrible loss.
While at Jill Zarin‘s Luxury Luncheon in Southhampton, the Real Housewives of New York star admitted that her younger brother died three weeks ago. To make matters worse, the Bravolebrity was estranged from her sibling at the time of his passing. Oh no.

During a candid conversation with Us Weekly, Singer shared:
“My brother just died. No one knows this. He died about three weeks ago, my younger brother, and we weren’t close anymore.”
What a tough situation. However, it seems Ramona’s brother’s passing has given her the opportunity to rebuild her relationship with her niece. The reality TV vet continued:
“Because of this death, I got closer to my niece. I flew her out … for about a week. And I spoke to her and said that I was really sorry about her dad’s death, but if it wasn’t for his death, you wouldn’t have bonded with [my daughter] Avery and I. So we have this whole new relationship we never had.”
With my niece who is becoming like my other daughter . Great bonding time nycA post shared by Ramona Singer (@ramonasinger) on Jul 11, 2017 at 11:15am PDT
We’re glad the 60-year-old has stepped up and been there for her brother’s daughter during this difficult time. Not to mention, this death has also inspired Ramona to truly make amends with Zarin. In case you forgot, the RHONY alums feuded quite a bit on the Bravo hit.

Regardless, the two have put their issues behind them as they’ve been there for each other during rough patches. Specifically, Ramona and her RHONY peers have rallied around Jill as her husband continues to fight thyroid cancer. The New York resident dished:
“Jill has all these people rallying around her. You see how blessed you are with your friends. It doesn’t matter how much money you have. It doesn’t matter how famous or beautiful you are. What really matters is your family and friends, and friends become family. And Jill has great friends. We are all behind her 100 percent.
Life has ebbs and flows, its ups and downs, but I believe at the end of the day, you’ve got to be there for someone. And I’m there for Jill. It’s a new beginning to our friendship.”
AH-Mazing. Now, for anyone doubting Ramona’s sincerity, please know that she made sure to visit Bobby and Jill in the hospital. The businesswoman concluded:
“I visited Jill and Bobby in the hospital as soon as I heard about his current condition. I have to say, he looked fabulous. He was in great spirits. He had a great sense of humor. Me and Jill had a very heartfelt talk that lasted about 45 minutes.”
See! Ramona’s a good friend.
Our thoughts are with Miz Singer and her extended family as they cope with their recent loss.
