Cornell is best known for pioneering the grunge rock scene with his band Soundgarden, which came out of Seattle in the ’90s. So it’s no wonder several celebs have since flocked to Twitter to pay tribute to the Black Hole Sun artist — including Elton John, Gavin Rossdale, St. Vincent, etc. So sad.
