In a talk for The Edit, interviewer (and fellow Iron Throne competitor) Maisie Williams asked her costar about being judged on her looks as woman in Hollywood.

Lena told her something every young actress should hear — and be wary of. She revealed:

“When I was in my twenties, and doing a lot of audition tapes in the States, a casting director told me: ‘The men take these tapes home and watch them and say, ‘Who would you fuck?””

Ick! That’s supposed to be advice? Like that nugget should inform how she acted in future sessions? And not just make her completely disgusted??

Thankfully, Lena didn’t take it:

“I’ve never played the game of going in [to auditions] and flirting; I’ve never done it.”

No, because when you play the game of flirting, you win or your dignity dies. Sorry, we couldn’t resist.

Maisie then asked:

“Do you think taking that stance has ever stopped you from getting the job?”

To which Lena responded:

“Yes, and I’m very happy I didn’t.”

Yass, kween!
