Aaron Carter is contesting his DUI arrest.

As we previously reported, the Fool’s Gold singer was arrested over the weekend for suspicion of driving under the influence as well as possession of marijuana. The former child star’s girlfriend, Madison Parker, was also taken into custody by the authorities over the marijuana-related offenses. Yikes.

Nonetheless, Hilary Duff‘s ex is hitting back at the arresting officers as he’s now claiming he was booked because of his celeb status. Huh.

On Sunday, following his release from jail, the Aaron’s Party performer took to Twitter and wrote:

“Aaron’s been traveling non-stop doing promotions on his latest hit single Sooner or Later across the southeast when his automobile had a new tire put on it and it went out of alignment. Aaron drove the vehicle to the nearest Auto Zone in Cornelia, Georgia. After being at the store and requesting help to get his alignment fixed, he was arrested inside by several police officers with aggression. The police also revoked his rights to have an attorney.
Aaron holds a medical license for medical marijuana for his long standing anxiety. He feels his ‘celebrity’ was targeted and an attorney will be retained in this matter. The video from Auto Zone will prove that Aaron was not in a moving vehicle while arrested and charged with a DUI.”

Hmmm, very inneresting. Of course, this drama has left Aaron’s brother Nick Carter concerned about his flesh-and-blood’s well being. The Backstreet Boys member attempted to reach out to his baby bro via Twitter as he posted:

However, this public display of support was NOT appreciated by Aaron as he clapped back in his statement:

“If my own blood truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum? That’s not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down. I love my family despite it through thick and thin.”

You know, Aaron actually has a point here. Still, the 37-year-old claims he doesn’t have the younger Carter’s current phone number as he retweeted wife Lauren Kitt Carter‘s online message:

Looks like the Carters need to have a good ol’ fashioned family sit down. Regardless, Aaron appears to be putting all of the drama behind him, as he took to Twitter (once again) and shared:

It’s safe to say that the hitmaker has had a rough couple weeks. Hopefully, for Aaron’s sake, this controversy gets settled sooner rather than later!!
