This is so upsetting to have someone in your home!!
Hilary Duff just experienced the danger of a celeb — or anybody — posting vacation pics on their Instagram account, because her home was robbed earlier this week when she was out of town.

The star had posted a video of a trip to Canada on her IG account three days ago (below), and some burglar must have taken that as a sign to rob her empty house back in Beverly Hills:

On literally the same day she posted that, some crook broke into a door at her place in Beverly Hills and rooted around looking for jewelry, cash, and everything else.
According to TMZ, the crook(s) made off with “hundreds of thousands of dollars” of jewelry! WOW!!!

Still no real word on who the thieves are, whether it’s an inside job or not, or if there are any likely suspects now pawning off jewelry, but whatever the case there’s no question this must be very unsettling for Hilary and her fam.
Awful!!
