After crashing into headlines like a greased lightning automobile accident, Anthony Scaramucci is taking a few days off.
The White House communications director has backed out of his speaking engagements at Politicon this weekend following the fallout he’s facing from a vulgar interview with the New Yorker.
Organizers of the Pasadena event — which gathers politicians, media personalities and celebrities — had said earlier in the week that Scaramucci still planned to attend, even after being named Donald Trump‘s communications director last week.
Of course, that was before his expletive-filled phone call with reporter Ryan Lizza, in which he bashed his White House colleagues, went public.

According to a spokeswoman for the event, organizers were informed overnight that the Mooch would not be coming in the wake of the on-the-record interview.
As we reported, Scaramucci went the fuck off earlier this week on the leak of his financial disclosure form, saying he reported it to the FBI and the Justice Department.
On Thursday, Lizza reported that Scaramucci called him up the previous night and suggested the leakers were none other than White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, along with Trump’s senior strategist (and alleged self dick sucker) Steve Bannon.

Scaramucci capped off the interview by threatening to fire the entire White House communications staff in his quest to root out leaks in the West Wing. Many F-bombs were dropped.
As for this weekend, Scaramucci was set to speak in a series of panels, including one on the future of the Republican party and another called “Scaramucci ‘Splains.”
Apparently, the communications director has done enough ‘splainin for one week.
