Asia Argento is so brave!
The Italian actress and director described the “nightmare” of being sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein to Ronan Farrow for The New Yorker‘s exposé on the producer. She claims he forcibly performed oral sex on her despite repeatedly asking him to stop.
In the same article, Asia even revealed she based a scene off the incident for her 2000 film Scarlet Diva, one in which a producer asks her for a massage before assaulting her.

Recounting talking with Harvey after he saw the movie, she remembered him saying:
“Ha, ha, very funny.”
And also that he was very “sorry for whatever happened.”
She shared a clip of it Twitter, but you can also watch the disturbing scene (below). We’re warning you, it can be triggering for some.

And for the entirety of the scene:
Asia’s boyfriend Anthony Bourdain has also spoken out about the scene, adding:
. @asiaargento talked to journalists about what happened to her and made a film about it in the ‘90’s. Response? Crickets.
